At 10:31am on June 15, 2008, Dan said…: My lawyer is putting my trust together and was very concerned that my father and aunt won't send a copy of my grandmothers trust, is loaning out assets of the trust, and is not responding. I know that my brothers and I are mentioned; Grandma spoke to me about it. It would really help my charities, contributions and distributions if I had the information. I would be able to make better decisions on the distribution of my own wealth. How sad when people use God to rationalize their own greed. How sad that I cannot even mention, request, inquire without my father turning red and angry. Today is fathers day. It is my day. I will let my lawyer deal with this and move on. It saddens me. He has done this in so many ways before.

Once my grandmother fell ill my step grandfather went to the lawyer that made the trust and asked him to change it. The lawyer refused on ethical grounds. My grandfather then went to another lawyer. They moved into a gated retirement community. My Mom says that she has seen the signiture on the trust and that it is not right. Her mother at 92, bedridden and dying did not know what she was or is doing. He is holding her hostage. He states that if my mom causes any trouble he will tell the guard at the gate that she is not allowed to enter. She will not be able to be with her mom. Mom tells me that nothing else matters but the time she has left with her mother. My grandmother made most of the money with her chain of stores in the bay area. Grandpa is favoring his daughters brought into the marraige. As a minister he is leaving everything else to the church. Wealth and memories handed down from generation to generation. I feel for my mother. There is nothing that anyone can do!
